The wind on shore was breezy but the crew was willing to take on the challenge, so we headed for the offshore fish we had found the day before. The bait had moved as expected but we worked the waters from 150-200 and found pockets of fish. We worked the pockets and ended up boating 10 nice fish out of 15 hits. We ended up catching 5 kings, 2 coho, 2 steelhead. The fish were healthy with fresh bait, so the bait isn't far. The seas turned out to be very comfortable and we had a great day on the water.
The best presentation of the day was by far the leadcores. (5-15 colors) The riggers took 5 hits and the rest were cores. Unlike yesterday the fish were preferring more of a green/yellow and orange color patterns. DW regular size green dolphin, silver hitman, green glow, and fuzzy mag green glow and mod. blue dolphin were the colors of choice.
I was another great spring day on Lake Michigan and a great crew to go along with it.
Capt. Brian
