June fishing out of Grand Haven has been maybe the best I have seen in 15 years. The fish are really health and alot of fish in the 13-18 lb class are already being caught. The boxes this week were nothing short of impressive. We also had very large steelhead in the 12-16 lb range.
The fishing over the past couple of weeks was in the 90-150 range and everything from 5 colors of lead to 120 riggers took fish.
The best colors have been blue and green. The new ss hello darning from Dreamweaver has been very good. The mag Fuzzy Bears carmel and modified blue dolphins are still producing really well. The spin doctor and fly are starting to really turn on when used with divers and riggers. White/blue and white/green with liquid sunshine and blue bubble flies in the 8" size have been working very well.
The divers have been best back 100-175 and riggers down 47,63,91. Leadcores with 5,8,10,13,15 colors are working really well and the 300 copper later in the morning.
